Arusha National Park is considered to be a secret jewel in Tanzania's Northern Circuit. It the closest national park to Arusha Town and also one of the most beguiling. This is a a rich tapestry of habitats, teeming with animals and birds

The park has three distinct zones that contribute to its variety and beauty: the lush swamps of Ngurdoto Crater; changing colours of the Momela Lakes, and the rocky apline heights of Mount Meru rising to 4566 meters.

Except the Lion and Rhino, Arusha National park contains all the wildlife one can expect to see. Zebra graze on red grasslands, wild-eyed dik dik dart into scrubby bush like overgrown hares on spindly legs. Leopards lurk in shadowy forests draped with waterfalls. Reedbuck pick through marshy poolsFully-tailed black and white Colobus monkeys riot in the damp forest mist. Giraffes glide across the grassy hills. . There are more than 400 species of birds.
