Lake Manyara National Park
Experience Serengeti from above
Conquer the highest peak in Africa
Below the sheer majesty of the Rift Valley wall, Lake Manyara lies serene spreading in a heat haze backed by a thin green band of forest and the sheer 600 metre red and brown cliffs of the escarpment.
Hot Springs bubble to the surface in the South and Waterfall spills over the cliff. The park's famous but elusive tree-climbing Lions sheltered by Acacia woodlands, along with squadrons of Mongoose feasting on the trail of Buffalo and Elephant.
The alkaline soda lake hosts almost 400 varieties of  birds, including thousands of red billed Quelea flitting over the water like swarms of giant insects; Pelicans, Cormorants and Pink streaks of thousands of Flamingo on their perpetual migration.

An incredibly diverse wildlife is attracted by this diverse landscape. Crocodiles and Hippo wallow near the lake's borders of sedge. Monkeys, Antelopes, Zebras, Buffalo, Giraffe and a high density of Elephants are also among the species found here.
Lake Manyara National Park has a stature that far exceeds its modest 125 square mile (325sq. km) area, having been a Mecca for seekers of Wildlife, and for hunters, since safari travel began.
